Itinerary:

  • Day 1 & Day 2:

    15:30: Depart from our office or your hotel by Tuk Tuk or bicycle (your choice) to Vieng Neua Village (15 minutes). Warm welcome by the homestay owner. Guided village tour, visit fields, Namtha River, and the local temple. Participate in a traditional Baci ceremony, performance, and Lamvong Lao dance (if ordered). Enjoy a local meal prepared by the homestay owner and interact with the host.

    Next Morning: Walk around the village to observe local life, followed by breakfast. Participate in community-based activities like preparing Baci-ceremony equipment and making banana leaf flowers. Return to Luang Namtha town.

  • The Traditional Style House & Vieng Neua Village:

    Vieng Neua Village is located about 3 km from town, near the airport. The traditional Lao Yuan houses have modern toilet facilities and are used for meetings, weddings, and events. The village offers Baci ceremonies, dance performances, meals, and cooking classes, available through Phou Iu Travel & Eco-Tourism Laos.

  • Lao Yuan Homestay:

    All homestays meet the Luang Namtha and ASEAN Homestay Standards. Rooms include mattresses, blankets, mosquito nets, towels, and clean external toilets.
