This two-day jungle trek in the Nam Ha Protected Area offers an exceptional experience. Guided by experts, you will learn rainforest survival skills, including setting up camp and building a traditional hunter’s shelter from banana leaves and bamboo. Enjoy the beautiful scenery, learn about medicinal plants, and engage in activities like fishing or frog hunting. This trek provides a hands-on jungle survival experience.

Itinerary:

  • Day 1: Nam Ha Village to Campsite

    9:00 AM: Meet at the office and depart by Tuk-Tuk to the starting point. Stops: Local market for supplies and Nam Ha village to pick up a local guide. Trek: Begin from Nam Ha village, trekking through plantations and into the untouched jungle. Learn about medicinal plants and edible leaves from our guides. Enjoy a picnic lunch and continue trekking to the campsite. Set up a traditional hunter’s camp and prepare a Khmu jungle meal.
  • Day 2: Campsite to Nalan and Chalernsouk Village

    Morning: Wake up early to enjoy the sounds of wildlife. After breakfast, pack up and cross the Nam Ha River. Visit: Nalan Village, recognized with the ASEAN Standard of Community-Based Tourism. Learn about Khmu lifestyle, culture, and traditions. Trek: Hike uphill through the forest, have a traditional lunch, and continue with a two-hour downhill trek to Chalernsouk Village. Return: Tuk-Tuk back to Luang Namtha.
