Trip Overview:

Experience the unique combination of nature and culture with this 2-day trek through the untouched jungle and remote villages of Nam Ha NPA. Guided by expert forest guides, you will learn about indigenous lifestyles, medicinal plants, animal habits, and jungle survival skills, culminating in an overnight stay in a remote village.

Itinerary:

  • Day 1: Ban Prang to Ban Nam Khouy

    9:00 AM: Briefing with the tour guide and depart from the office or your hotel. Visit the morning market for food supplies, then head to Khmu villages to explore their culture and traditions. Hiking: Begin from Ban Prang to Ban Nam Khouy, enjoying the natural beauty of Nam Ha NPA. Forage for edible vegetation to prepare a jungle picnic lunch using traditional methods. 3:00 PM: Arrive at the Lahu minority village, explore the village, enjoy the viewpoint before sunset, and learn about Lahu culture and traditions. Note: No toilets; bathing is done at a nearby stream.

  • Day 2: Ban Nam Khouy to Ban Prang

    Breakfast: Enjoy tea or coffee before trekking back into the primary forest to further explore Nam Ha NPA. Learn about herbs, animals, and jungle survival skills. Lunch: Prepared during the trek using jungle methods. Trekking: An easy two-hour downhill walk until arriving at Ban Prang. Return to Luang Namtha with our driver.
